This Spratly DXpedition will be a serious one, but with a small crew and light equipment.
It will focus on the most needed bands in North-America and Europe and will be an opportunity for many to work Spratly for the first time.

We will keep updating this site about our March 2008 DXpedition.

Operation Plan

The DXpedition will begin approximately 0800Z on March 22, 2008.
Expected shutdown will be 0000Z March 30, 2008.

There will be a station on 160M or 80M CW from 1030Z – 1300Z and
2100 – 2300Z daily.  At other times in darkness we will be varying bands
and times.

Sunset in Spratly is 1040Z and Sunrise is 2240Z by the middle of that week.

Since omnidirectional verticals on the beach will be used, be sure
to check long path and short path for the strongest signals.

The operators will be moving bands frequently to take advantage
of any shorter band openings.

Specific transmit frequencies will be selected based on QRM/QRN at Spratly. The typical DX slots will be used.
General Class US frequencies when possible.

We will be using 100W so if you can hear us at all, give us a call.
